Domestic Pools > Case Study 9

The pool is the central focus of this property, with the modern dwelling designed to wrap around the pool zone. Across the horizon edge there is a stunning view through to a well manicured golf course. The area is an entertainer’s delight with a 12 metre x 4 metre pool and extra large spa. A large full length underwater seat has been added to the pool to provide a space to relax and enjoy the tranquil outlook. The sleek linear design compliments the modern architecture of the new home.

The pool has been designed for a family who love to entertain. It is a multi functional pool and spa with all year use available with the dual heating systems. It can be easily heated up for a party in winter or used to cool off and lounge around in summer.

To separate the water between the pool and spa without breaking the water surface of the negative edge a clever slot detail has been applied. This detail allows the pool and spa to be heated to different temperatures.

Constructed to a very high standard of finishes and technology, the pool and spa is fully tiled with Ceramic Solution Mosaic. A Paramount PCC2000 self cleaning system and salt chlorinator has been coupled with dual heating systems. For water conservation purposes a cartridge filter has been installed along with a 50,000 litre reinforced concrete water tank below the paving. The water from this tank is used to automatically top up the swimming pool. The pool and spa are fully automated via Jandy Aqualink.
