Domestic Pools > Case Study 2
Designed in collaboration with leading Melbourne architect, Allan Powell Architects, this stunning pool and spa combination is suspended above a water tank, balance tank and pool plant room.
The pool has been designed for maximum functionality and usability including a PCC2000 self cleaning system, Aqualink automation control synchronized with
c-Bus, solar and gas heating, automatic filling and automatic chemical control via a Chemigem.
Structurally the pool was very technical with suspended floors, fully membraned shell and gutters and extra steel needed to achieve the required results.
Maintaining a current trend of the house being designed around the pool, it is a central focus a link between the various living areas and plays an important part in the family’s lifestyle.
A wet deck feature with concealed gutters has been finished with honed marble. This carries through to the negative edge spa and stepping stones. A large underwater seat has been constructed to one side of the pool allowing a great space for relaxing and cooling off at the same time. The pool interior is well finished with a vanilla glass mosaic tile.
The pool is architecturally striking with a Santa Fe feel and would not be out of place in any international pool publication.
